By accident I came across this bit of software that gives you telephone capabilities through your PC.
This service uses the PC speakers and microphone – or a USB headset - or even better a bluetooth dongle and bluetooth headset, so you can even walk about and still be on the PC phone hands free.
Even better, the calls are FREE….to another PC with broadband…..anywhere in the WORLD.
No 59 mins then you get charged….they are completely FREE… 24/7…if you can talk that long.
To save any confusion …..although they both use the same line our “HOUSE PHONE” and “BROADBAND” are completely separate.
So.…we already pay for a BROADBAND SERVICE..…OK let’s use that service to make telephone calls on, AT NO EXTRA COST…therefore FREE

Like I said, “they could get some of your money”…only could…because the really clever bit is that they have in excess of 55,000,000 (yes that's 55 million) active customers WORLD WIDE……and a website that sells things….and 262 million software downloads.
Now you get the picture….they give away a free telephone service…..but to get the service you visit their website to download the software…whilst you’re there you MAY just buy something.
Great strategy eh, which business would like 262 million potential customers…most just browse but some will buy. (The products are good, at reasonable prices…if they weren’t they would go out of business).
There is nothing in the shop that you must buy to make this work, you download the software and you can talk FREE....... to everyone else that has the same software.

To start with most PC’s are supplied with speakers and microphones, and the bluetooth you have with your mobile phone for safe driving will work with your PC.
For 30 euros a year you can also have a separate telephone number, SkypeIN (so people can ring your PC from a landline or mobile) which you can use anywhere in the world. Too many features to list here so you’ll have to read up on the website.
NO BILLS…remember it’s FREE but there is the very low call rate to land lines & mobiles…..if you want to call LAND LINES and MOBILES from your PC you just buy credits, like pay-as-you-go.... SkypeOUT
You can even have your calls redirected to your mobile from your PC, but because you would have then gone outside the broadband network there is the low rate charge again…but remember this is an ADD ON service.
